General

What is the Cleveland Beauty Collective?

The Cleveland Beauty Collective is a team of freelance Makeup Artists and Hair Stylists founded by Chrissy Hart and Riley Gable. Each team member is based out of Northeast Ohio.

Do you have a studio location?

The artists and stylists on our team all have their own studio locations throughout Cleveland. We do not have one physical space.

Booking

How does the booking process work?

Based upon availability, we will set up a phone consultation with you to go over all of the wedding day details. After the consultation, the contract and retainer will be sent out. Once the retainer is received and contract is executed, the date will be locked in. From that point on, Riley and/or Chrissy will be your point of contact. 

Who facilitates the booking process?

Riley and Chrissy answer all emails and handle the entire booking process no matter who your artist is for your wedding! The best method of contact after your initial inquiry is via email. Emails are answered within 48 hours on weekdays.

What is required to reserve my date?

A non-refundable retainer of 50% of your total is required to reserve your date along with a signed contract.

What information is needed to book?

Please have your getting-ready venue, amount of services needed, and timeline for the day ready upon booking.

How far in advance should I book?

Book as soon as you can! Our Premium Artists often book out one to two years in advance, and our Luxe Artists often book out six months to one year in advance.

Do you have a minimum booking requirement?

Yes, for all weddings the minimum is 5 services (Bride + 4 attendees) or the monetary equivalent. If you are booking hair and makeup, this minimum would apply for each service. 

Can you let me know if someone else is interested in booking my date?

Due to such a high volume of inquiries we are unable to do so. Bookings are a first come, first serve basis and are not reserved until a contract and retainer are sent.

Is there a travel fee?

Yes, travel is calculated from the 44109 zip code, however, there is a complimentary 15 mile radius. Pricing information can be found in our Booking Guide.

Packages

What is the difference between the packages?

Our Luxe artists have a minimum of five years experience and have an acute attention to detail.

Our Premium artists are in-demand industry veterans with a minimum of ten years experience and who specialize in long-wearing makeup.

Can I mix and match the packages?

Unfortunately, you can not. The package you choose determines which artist we send out to you! 

Should I choose airbrush or traditional?

Typically, we let the artist discuss this with you at your trial! Many factors determine what is the best option for the client, including their skin type and desired look.

Which packages include airbrush?

Both the Luxe and Premium packages include the option of airbrush for the bride and all attendees.

What products do your artists use?

All of our artists stock different items in their makeup kits. Our artists use professional brands and/or luxury brands.

Can you provide the names, websites, or social media of our artists prior to booking?

Prior to booking, we are unable to share any personal information about our artists. However, we would be happy to send examples of their work. 

Previews

What is a Preview?

Your Bridal Preview is an appointment held 1-3 months prior to your event date where you and your artist can collaborate to create your perfect bridal look.

Where is the Preview held?

Previews are typically held at our artist's own Cleveland-based studio. Accommodations can be made for our artists to travel on site for a preview, but a travel fee may occur.

If I am booking hair and makeup, can I schedule them on the same day?

Due to varying schedules, we can not always guarantee that your hair and makeup previews will happen on the same day or at the same location. If you are interested in booking both on the same day, we recommend doing it on a day where you will not see your fiance.

What days are previews offered?

While all of our artists and stylists have differing availability, the only day we can not typically accommodate are Saturdays.

Can I schedule a Preview prior to booking?

Our Previews are reserved for our booked brides and are held 1-3 months prior to their wedding date.

Will the artist at my Bridal Preview be the same artist for my wedding day?

Yes, your artist will work with you to nail the perfect look at your preview and then execute it again on your wedding day!

Can other people in my party receive a Preview? If so, what is the cost?

Yes, others in your party can book a preview. The cost is the preview price associated with your chosen package. 

Day-Of

How much time does it take for makeup applications?

Bridal trials typically take 90 minutes. On the day of your wedding, attendee applications typically take 45 minutes/person and the bride typically takes 45-60 minutes. Artists arrive 10-15 minutes prior to start time to set up.

Am I able to add services day-of?

Day-of services may be added at discretion of the artist and if time allows. Services must be paid for prior to the makeup application.

What do the artists come prepared with?

All of our makeup artists come prepared with their makeup kits, chairs, and lighting equipment. All of our hair stylists come equipped with their hair tools and necessary products.  

What is needed at the getting ready venue?

Our artists provide their own chair and lighting, they just require a table or counter to place their products on.

Can personal makeup be applied by one of your artists?

Personal makeup can only be applied if it is brand new and unused. Anything else would unfortunately be unsanitary for your artists to use.

Is “Eyes Only” or “Lashes Only”, “Airbrush Only” an option?

We do not offer partial services. There is always the option to add a full service if time allows!

Is gratuity included?

Gratuity is not included but is always greatly appreciated for a job well done!
